Paris Hilton is to remember what is important in life afterwards losing her home in Malibu Los Angeles fires.
43-year-old Hilton hosted Instagram on Sunday, Jan. 19, to share a video of her son, Phoenix, 2, snuggled up in a blanket with the family's two dogs.
The clip, which zoomed in on the youngster's face and captured her babies Diamond and Baby lounging next to him, was captioned 'Relax with sleepy Fanny, Diamond and Baby'.
A mother of two, who also has one daughter, London, with her husband, Carter Rumin the text of the post with a heartfelt message. “Some shots of a sleepy Fanny and the puppy for your feed 🧘🏼♀️🩷 With everything going on around us, sometimes we need an adorable reminder to take a moment of sanity for ourselves 🥹 #SlivingMom,” Hilton wrote. (The term “sliving” is a combination of “killing” and “living,” a word coined by Hilton.)
The post comes after Hilton confirmed via the social media platform on January 9 that she had watched her “Malibu home burn to the ground” on live TV. Describing the experience then, she wrote: “This home was where we built so many precious memories. This is where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of lifelong memories with London.🥹.
A heartbroken Hilton shared a wonderful perspective at the time, continuing: “Although the loss is overwhelming, I remain grateful that my family and pets are safe. My heart and prayers go out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, memories and beloved pets. My heart aches for those still devastated or grieving greater losses. The devastation is unimaginable.”
Hilton has kept a positive outlook on the devastation of the Los Angeles wildfires, which affected a number of celebrities after the windstorm hit on Jan. 7, lending a hand to displaced animals despite her own personal heartbreak.
On Monday, January 13, she shared her idea on Instagram raise a dog who was handed over by his family who had lost their house in a fire. “And we're going to go and see if there are any other dogs out there still looking for their owners,” Hilton posted at the time, along with a photo of herself walking with a cat in hopes of finding its owner during the Altadena fires. .
Hilton and a a string of celebrities has shared important disaster resource information after the natural disaster, with the public figure adding that her own charity offered to help. The Jan. 13 post continued: “My nonprofit @1111Media Impact has helped support the shelter's efforts and we are still raising funds to help displaced families and pets 💰Every donation helps provide emergency relief, housing and supplies. If you can donate or volunteer, the Pasadena Humane Society is an incredible charity to support!
