“OREO HAS BEEN FOUND,” Liz captioned a video of the emotional reunion posted on Instagram January 12. “Casey called me right after my last post and told me there were eyes on Oreo. We rushed to his street where Oreo was hiding at his neighbor's house. As soon as he saw Casey, he ran. An incredible moment and a bright spot in such a devastating time.
“You're alive, you're alive,” Casey shouted in the video, happily kissing Oreo before cheering him on through the streets. “Where is NBC?” Where are you? Liz, thank you. Oh honey, thank you.
And while news crews and first responders have been on the front lines of the deadly fires, even celebrities have stepped in to help. Indeed, Saturday evening live alum Bill Hader surprised one of his local news crews while they were covering the aftermath of the fires.
“A resident trying to gain access approached the news van as if he was part of our team, he wanted to help cover and ride with us,” ABC7 journalist Josh Haskell wrote in an article onformerly Twitter) January 10. “Then he pulled down his mask, smiled and it was Bill Hader!”
