Ringo Starr and wife Barbara Bach have been happily together since the 80s.

The couple met on the set of their 1980 film, Caveman. Before they met, Starr (real name Richard Starkey) was previously married to Maureen Cox from 1965 to 1975. The former share with three children: Zach, Jason and Lee.

Bach, in turn, married an Italian businessman AugustoCount Gregorini of Savignano di Romagna in 1966. During their marriage, Bach welcomed a daughter, Francesca, and a son, Gianni. They divorced in 1975.

Despite hooking up during the sitcom, Starr and Bach didn't begin their affair until filming was almost over.

“The truth is we weren't together until the very end Caveman. We got along well when we worked, but we each had other people, our own friends,” Bach said in a 1981 interview Playboy. “Then all of a sudden within a week — the last week of shooting — it just happened. We went from friendly love to falling in love.

A year later, Starr and Bach became friends in London. They have been by each other's side ever since.

1980

Starr and Bach met on the set of their film Caveman. The Beatles the drummer played the prehistoric man Atuk, while Bach played Lana, one of his love interests.

April 1981

The couple tied the knot at Marylebone Town Hall in London after almost a year of dating.

1988

Bach and Starr began treatment together at the Sierra Tucson Rehabilitation Clinic. Starr revealed how addiction treatment helped him stay on track.

“The 80s. I didn't do concerts in the 1970s, and not much in the 70s. I kind of got into a lot of substances and they became more important than anything else,” he said People in 2017. “88. I ended up in rehab and in '89 I formed the first All-Starr Band. I got back on track and have been doing it ever since.

February 2010

Bach was by Starr's side when he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Barbara Bach Ringo Starr at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Starr brought Bach as his plus one to the Grammys because he and Paul McCartney received a Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award for his work with The Beatles.

November 2015

Drummer and ex Bond girl celebrated 35 years together. In an interview with PeopleStar revealed how their spark hasn't dimmed after all these years.

“There's no escape … I think I love Barbara as much (today) as (when we met),” Starr gushed. “And I'm beyond blessed that she loves me and we're still together.”

December 2015

Starr and Bach decided to auction off some of their personal items, including some special Beatles collectibles, through Julien's Auctions. The couple raised $9 million to their charityLotus Foundation.

July 2016

Bach and Starr attended Cirque du Soleil's LOVE the Beatles a show that celebrated its 10th anniversary.

September 2016

Both attended the premiere of the documentary The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – Tour. Starr and Bach were joined on the red carpet by McCartney and his wife, Nancy Shewell.

March 2018

Bach was at Starr's side when he was knighted the author Prince William.

December 2022

Starr and Bach attended the London premiere of the film If these walls could sing. The documentary, filmed by McCartney's daughter Mary, chronicled the history of Abbey Road Studios and included cameos from McCartney, Starr and other A-List musicians.
