Diddy's lawyers claim he is innocent based on the 'Freak Off' tapes
Shapiro's acknowledgment that Diddy has a good legal team isn't far-fetched, as the rapper's lawyers tried to prove their mettle last week.
Diddy's defense team said they had watched several tapes of him “snapping” collected by law enforcement and argued the footage proved the acts were consensual.
TMZ reported that the record producer's legal team listed his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura as “Victim-1” in court documents and claimed the tapes showed “private sexual activity between fully consenting adults in a long-term relationship.”
They also claimed that Cassie consented to the act and “enjoyed herself very much”, adding that she was “obviously happy, dominant and in complete control” of the sex tapes.
According to Diddy's legal team, the tapes did not show sex parties, as his prosecutors claimed. Rather, they showed “adults having consensual sex, plain and simple.”
