'Shogun' Actor's Health Issues Explained

The highly anticipated FX limited series Shogun on a ton of Golden Globes Sunday night.

But for some fans, the joy of discovering an epic new series has been tarnished by reports of actor Cosmo Jarvis' illness.

Questions about Jarvis' health circulated on social media, but as is so often the case on Twitter/X and elsewhere, the truth of the situation was obscured by a jumble of misinformation.

Jarvis went on to say that his health issues forced him to rethink his relationship with technology.

“It goes against my philosophy, because I hate technology and everything it entails, but I depend on it to some extent to survive,” he explained.

“I fully accept that without technology, diabetics and anyone suffering from any illness would be the first to die,” Jarvis added.

Now, thanks to Shogun and his work in films like Lady Macbeth And PersuasionJarvis' star is on the rise internationally.

As a result, many new fans are interested in the 34-year-old's personal life.

The situation could be a mixed blessing for Cosmo, who has thus far vigilantly guarded his private life.

Jarvis is believed to be married, but nothing is known about his alleged wife, and it doesn't look like the actor will open up any time soon.

Cosmo's desire for privacy makes his willingness to speak publicly about his diabetes all the more commendable.
