Sister Wives Recap: Christine's daughter attends a 'quickie' wedding

Christine Browndaughter Ysabel had some objections to her mother whirlwind involvement to the husband David Woolley.

Wife's sisters fans watched Christine and David meet on Sunday's Jan. 12 episode of the reality series, which was also documented the reactions of their loved ones to the wedding. In the run-up to the big day, 21-year-old Ysabel told Christine when she knew David was going to be The One.

“We were out on the town and he looked at you and said, 'Oh, I love you so much,'” Ysabel said. “Like, just honest and clean. And I've never heard anyone say to you so much, 'I love you”.

Christine smiled as she listened to her daughter, who went on to share a slightly different story for the TLC cameras in the confessional.

“When David first proposed to my mum, I thought it was going to happen very soon. I thought it was too early,” Ysabel revealed. “But I think I've had time to adjust to it.”

Kristine was previously in a spiritual marriage with Cody Brown more than 25 years, announcing their divorce in November 2021. Cody's relationship with his wives Janelle Brown and Mary Brown ended soon after. He is still legally married to Robin Brown.

After breaking up with Cody – with whom she share six childrenIn February 2023, Kristine debuted an affair with David. Two months later, he proposed, and the couple exchanged vows in October 2023.

“It's given me a lot more clarity to see how much they love each other,” Ysabel said on Sunday's episode. “I'm excited and happy for them.”

When it was time for Christine to walk down the aisle, she was accompanied by her son Pedon. “I told him, 'Should I be nervous?'” Christine recalled in the confessional. “I'm not even nervous. And then we started walking and I just looked at David and it's like, “There's my heart.”

Paedon struggled to hold back tears as he walked beside his mum, telling her David was a 'very good man'. He handed Christine over to her father, Recjust before they reached the altar.

Reflecting on Christine's wedding day, Ysabel marveled at the “perfect” ceremony in Utah. She went on to describe how she's gotten used to Christine and David “getting married so quickly” that she couldn't be happier for the couple.

“I think I've gotten time to get to know David and get to know him, like, as a father and somebody who's just a great guy,” she told the cameras. “I can't imagine life without him now.”

Christine's children were delighted to see her so happy, and they weren't the only supportive voices. Janelle's children was also at hand to help Christina enter the next chapter.

“For the first time in a long time, it felt like the real Brown family was back,” said son Gabe, whose relationship with Cody has been rocky over the years.

Cody even expressed his support for his ex's new marriage. “Really, where I'm at, Christina is happy and it's great,” he admitted, despite feeling “FOMO” about missing the actual wedding day.
