Kirk Franklin addressed some of the controversy from 2024 in a video he shared Instagram. The full clip is available on his YouTube site. In the video, Franklin apologized for his choice and reflected on the biggest moments of his year.
According to Christian mail. In the clip, Franklin said he didn't expect his outfit to offend anyone given the hot weather, and he didn't think it would come across as “disrespectful,” but it did.
“I've spent most of my career dancing, moving and jumping around on stage, but I didn't know I'd ever do something that would offend someone in any community, but it happened. And because that happened, I'm truly sorry,” Franklin said.
The “I Smile” musician went on to apologize, truthfully saying that he will always remain humble and open to listen to people and their concerns.
“I'm truly sorry because I never want to get to a place where I can't learn, that I can't learn what I need to do better, what I can do differently to grow as a man, to grow physically or in any aspect that I'm always humble enough and submissive enough to listen to people and their concerns about something bigger than the message of Jesus,” Kirk continued.
