Spencer Pratt coming to the defense of another Los Angeles fire victim Mandy Moore following criticism of a recent GoFundMe plea on behalf of her mother-in-law.

Like a friend, she booked my hotel in New York—I'd never been to New York. I think she even booked my flight because I was so fun to be around. Moore, 40, whose Altaden neighborhood suffered huge losses in forest fires devastating Southern California, then received backlash from social media followers she shared the GoFundMe campaign to support sister-in-law's family.
“Yesterday, my brother-in-law and brother-in-law Griff and Kit (Goldsmith) Eatongun lost their home and everything they owned,” the This Is Us alum wrote on Instagram on Thursday, Jan. 9. “With their first baby on the way in a few weeks, they need our support now more than ever.
As the wildfires continue to spread through the Los Angeles area, several celebrities are taking to social media to share how they've been affected. “Evacuated and safe with children, dog and cats. Some users apparently took issue with the celebrity asking for money, with Moore saying, “And the people who questioned whether we're helping our family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money that Google says someone has are NOT being helpful or empathetic. Of course we are. Our friend Matt (Coma) started this go fund me (sic) and I'm sharing because people have been asking how they can help them. We also lost most of our lives in a fire. Please F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything.”
Pratt stood by Moore's side in his video post, reaffirming that she is “the nicest lady ever.”
“Mandy Moore is not doing anything wrong,” he said, noting that he has known her for two decades. “If you were cute in 2004, you're still cute in 2025. Like I talk so nice. So don't you dare come after Mandy Moore.
He continued: “Maybe delete your stuff about Mandy Moore because Mandy Moore is real. She's a great person. She's not doing anything out of her own pocket — she's doing GoFundMes, that's great. She's not paying anybody. She has her own life, maybe your children, so take your time after Mandy Moore.
Moore, who has three children with lead singer husband Dawes Taylor Goldsmithlost part of his house in fires. “We were able to park and walk down our street to witness all the damage. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now,” Moore wrote Instagram on Thursday.
She added: “It's uninhabitable but mostly intact. We lost Taylor and Griffin's studio with all the tools and equipment they ever owned. We lost our garage and our house. Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in-laws. My brother and sister-in-law. Our best friends. We love this community and will do our best to help rebuild and support. Thank you to everyone who checked us out and offered us help. Altadena strong.”
Pratt and his wife, Heidi Mondayalso lost his Pacific Palisades home in flames that first broke out on Tuesday, January 7. Mountains alums said they had already evacuated with their two children, son Gunner, 6, and Ryker, 13 months, when their house burned.
The couple revealed in a video shared by Montag, 38, via TikTok on Thursday the few things that remained from their house after the fire, all of which were placed in one plastic bag.
“A hummingbird pot — with nectar boiled in it,” Pratt said in the video, along with “one (rubber) snake from the yard, one crystal from the yard, (another) crystal from the yard, Riker's shovel from the yard. and broken pieces.” (Pratt owns Pratt Daddy Crystals.)
Los Angeles has had some scary natural weather and its star community has been hit hard. Other celebrities including Miles Teller, Lake Ricki, Brian Greenberg and Jamie Chunglost their homes in a natural disaster as well.
