The MomTok host has been very open about going to therapy to help her heal and grow. When asked what the most important thing she learned in therapy, she shared, “You'd think it would be as easy as it sounds.”

She continued, “You're not going to get different results by doing the same things. Change is extremely hard, especially when you're trying to rewire the brain.”

When another fan asked about the “best advice” she's gotten from her therapist, Paul shared three things.

“Give these versions of you grace. I can't give you what you don't already have,” she explained. “The best part about healing is that you get to help others heal.”

Another person asked Paul how she was “really doing,” and Paul told him that she was “so sad” and in “a lot of pain.”

“This time is different because I have the awareness, the tools and the people to help. I feel like I'm grieving all at once,” she said. “This year is going to be amazing, but let's work with it.”

Paula didn't seem to shy away from the questions on her fans' minds.

“What makes you so honest? You're still so kind after the betrayals you've received,” wondered one person.

“Everything comes to the surface,” Paul replied. “I've betrayed people, been the bottom, been the villain, the most hated on the internet, I want (to) be given the same grace and forgiveness that was given to me.”

Another follower wanted to delve into her relationship woes, asking if her breakup or her breakup with Mortensen was harder.

“Grieving though. Since then I've been running or fighting, miscarried twice, went to jail while the whole internet was talking about it. Eventually it became too painful to isolate myself,” she explained. “Woke up and now it's all seeping through. And I'm like FUUU—K ME. But let's stay strong and look at it and feel it and process it so we can move forward.”

Paul also answered a question about how she deals with the hate and bullying she has received online.

“Ignore it,” she said. “It's none of my business what they think, and I don't care.”

Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is currently streaming on Hulu and will debut on ABC on January 27 as part of ABC's winter programming. Season 2 is currently filming and will be released on Hulu in May 2025, according to Paul.
