Taylor Swift is expanding her Rhode Island home to 'raise a family' with Travis Kelce

Taylor Swifthave a romance with Travis Kelce becomes stronger. According to reports, the singer is renovating her Rhode Island mansion for $17 million to make it a future family home with the NFL star.

Plans will cost more than $1.7 million and include a new bedroom suite, lounge, kitchen remodel and additional bedroom.

Travis Kelce also recently shared how his supportive relationship with Taylor Swift is boosting his football career.

According to New York PostSwift is converting her luxurious Rhode Island estate with plans to turn it into a future family home with her boyfriend, Kelsa.

As originally reported by the Providence Journal, Swift is investing $1.7 million in a major renovation of the $17 million Watch Hill property. The move is approved thanks to building permits and zoning records.

Renovation plans include a 400-square-foot extension to create a luxurious new bedroom suite and comfortable lounge in the sprawling 11,000-square-foot oceanfront property.

Swift is also remodeling the kitchen and adding an extra bedroom to the main house.

Permits for the project were discreetly filed in late November and early December 2024, and construction was approved to continue through late 2025.

An insider shared with the news outlet that the “Cardigan” singer envisions the property as “her main home base and where she and Kelce will hopefully someday start a family.”

Swift's sprawling Rhode Island estate, which sits on more than five acres of immaculately landscaped grounds, has long been her favorite escape.

The property boasts a spacious patio, pool house and an exclusive 700-foot private beach offering the perfect coastal getaway.

The multiple Grammy Award winner was last spotted at her Watch Hill mansion in August 2024, relaxing with boyfriend Kelce and close friends after wrapping up the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Although she skipped her iconic Fourth of July holiday this year due to touring, she later hosted an intimate gathering in August to make up for it.

Kelce isn't the only notable guest enjoying Swift's seaside sanctuary. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany recently joined the couple for some beach time.

In previous years, Swift's famous exes Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris and Joe Jonas have also spent time at the property, as well as her famous friends such as Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne.

Over the summer, Blake Lively even celebrated her birthday at a beachfront property.

Swift bought her stunning eight-bedroom, ten-bathroom property in Rhode Island in 2013 when she was just 23 years old.

Notably, she paid the full price of $17.75 million in one transfer, securing the oceanfront property without hesitation.

The mansion holds a lot of personal meaning for the mega-pop star, serving as the inspiration for her 2020 track, The Last Great American Dynasty.

The song tells the story of Rebecca Harkness, the previous owner of the manor. Harkness, a wealthy socialite and composer known for her headline-making lifestyle, died in 1982 at the age of 67. He was often surrounded by controversies that Swift felt a personal connection to.
