Authorities have made an arrest Brian Paiza former restaurant waiter for allegedly supplying drugs Liam Payne before his fatal fall from a Buenos Aires hotel last October.

CBS News reports that Argentine police arrested Brian Pace on Friday, January 3rd. Paiz, one of five accused in connection with the death of Liam Payne, according to Diversity.

TMZ states that authorities arrested Brian Pace outside his home in Buenos Aires, where he was under house arrest, just days after he was accused of Payne's death. The outlet adds that Paiz admitted to using drugs with Payne. He said they partied twice in Payne's hotel room at CasaSur Palermo in the days before the One Direction singer's death. Payne claimed they used cocaine and whiskey together, but he denied selling drugs to Payne. In addition, Paiz reportedly faces four to fifteen years in prison on the charges. he reportedly told TMZ “he feels unfairly treated as a murderer and feels he is being used as a scapegoat.”

Paiz worked at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, where Liam Payne passed away in October. Four other defendants, including three hotel employees and Payne's friend, were recently charged in connection with the musician's death.

As previously shared by TSR, TMZ reported on Nov. 7 that authorities initially charged two hotel employees and a friend of Payne's in connection with his death.

Liam's friend was reportedly charged with “abandonment before death.” In addition, reports claimed that the landlady supplied drugs to the English songstress, while a third suspect acted as an “alleged drug supplier”.
