The funniest sci-fi blockbuster in years is on the Tube

Geostorm is both a movie that moves a mile a minute, with something happening all the time, and yet, thanks to some of the worst dialogue of the modern era and mind-bogglingly inconsistent beats, nothing seems to happen. When the geostorm finally arrives, it's in unlovely scenes of mass destruction that carry less weight than the characters orbiting the plant in zero gravity. And yet, you have to see this movie to really understand what an amazing misfire the whole project was.

Best B movie in years

The cast is diverse, from Butler to Abbie Cornish, Ed Harris, Andy Garcia, the always underrated Mara Winningham, Zazia Beth and Into the Badlands star Daniel Wu. Dean Devlin, the man behind the hilarious adventure shows, is behind the camera Librarians and Lever debut as a director and he tries hard. In fact, you can say that everyone is giving it their all Geostormchewing up the scenery and delivering the most insane technobabble with a straight face, that passion and visible effort make this a true B-movie classic.
