Directed by Lawrence Lamont, One of these days stars Keke Palmer and SZA as best friends and roommates Dreux and Alyssa who are forced to scramble to cover their rent after discovering that Alyssa's boyfriend wasted the money! The dynamic duo find themselves doing a lot of strange things for a little change (don't think too dirty now!) in a race against time to avoid eviction. Check out the trailer below:

As you can see – things get EXTREMELY silly – but there are definitely more than a few scenarios that Dreux and Alyssa face that most of us have faced once or twice! Especially when it comes to making bad relationship decisions.

“What felt most real to me was going on a trip with my girlfriend to pick up the man, get to him or figure out where he was going to be,” Keke told BOSSIP. “I've done it several times. I will definitely stop this man. Yeah, I do that.

“Definitely the aspect of getting lost in the dickmatizment and the relationship and the energy where you just cooked yourself because you were caught up in something ridiculous, but when you get there,” SZA said. “I think I would have gotten there a little quicker, but at the same time, the way Alyssa was saying, 'Okay, I'm depressed. I have a plan – it's terrible but I have a plan.' And I feel like mine would have been terrible but I would also have a plan.

Issa Rae opened up about the financial issues highlighted in the film, recalling some of her past tough times.

“Basically poor decision-making when it comes to money,” Issa Rae added. “I would say I love get-rich-quick schemes. Like I got a free T-shirt because I signed up for a credit card and then I racked up the debt on that credit card and it goes and it goes, like it goes and it goes and How's it going. For example, I can get another credit card. I blame the system, okay? Company. I was 19, what was I doing?!”

SZA also shared her personal bad experience with credit cards.

“Capitalism! You know what, when I was 17 it was terrible. I got a Macy's card, which ruined all my credit.

It's certainly no secret that the vast majority of people are doomed to failure when it comes to credit, so many people will definitely be able to relate to Alyssa and Dreux's fight!

On a more positive note, not all of us are lucky enough to have a friendship like Alyssa and Dreux! Keke and SZA took turns describing themselves to BOSSIP.

“Alyssa is that vulnerable, loving, artistic friend that we all want and need, but are never interesting enough to keep around,” Palmer said of SZA's character. “Somehow Dreux manages to keep her interested and engaged. This is the person who will always be by your side and always find a solution, no matter how crazy it gets. She's not going to judge you, but with all that love and understanding comes a little calamity. There's always chaos or crazy things happening and she knows how to navigate it and even if you don't, she'll take you along for the ride.

“Damn, that was perfect,” SZA replied. “I feel like Dreux's character is so type A, he's so driven, it's critical but he's forgiving, it's very – she also has a little bit of calamity in her, because why would do you even attract this situation? Full of problem solving, full of loyalty and empathy, because even though you try to improve yourself and get that job and do certain things, you have to go out and fight with your friend – because you love. I feel like it's a lot about telling your friend the truth. Just that motivation and we both motivate each other. I'm in the car and I'm talking to you about how you don't need anyone, to be a manager and all!

As SZA described Keke's character, Keke couldn't help but chime in and agree.

“There’s also a really good speech from Alyssa that’s what you say when things come to a boiling point that I love – which comes from friendship,” Keke added. “When you don't actually judge your friend, you have the opportunity to reflect and see yourself – because it's true. Dreux — it's easy to blame Alyssa for being super extra and crazy because she's crazier than you, but you're also crazy because you like it. She's the one to blame, but you're the same person. That’s how it is in friendship. We always want to say, “Oh no, it’s you, it’s you!” It's like, it's us.

“There are aspects that I feel like we would have liked to have had in the movie and it's also like if you want to be a little more careless, I want to be a little more specific,” SZA agreed.

At the end of the interview, Keke said what everyone would think when she congratulated Issa Rae and One of these days writer Syreeta Singleton for creating dynamic characters that reflect what good friendships look like in real life.

The SZA and Keke collaboration is undefeated. We can't wait for you to see Alyssa and Dreux in action.

One of these days is in theaters January 17.
