Ariana Grande has officially earned her first Oscar nomination, and she's getting support from her boyfriend, Ethan Slater. The news broke Thursday morning, and the “Wicked” co-stars shared the moment in a low-key yet heartfelt way.

Ariana Grande received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her portrayal of the good witch Glinda in John M. Chu's 2024 adaptation of Wicked.

Slater, who plays Bock in “Wicked,” posted a rare photo of Grande standing on a hotel balcony in London, holding a cluster of pale pink balloons.

Grande later re-shared the image on her Instagram Stories, giving fans an intimate glimpse into their big day.

Ahead of her first Oscar nomination, Grande reflected on how her role as Glinda in Wicked has left a lasting impression — not just on her acting, but on her sense of self. Even after the film is finished, Grande remains deeply connected to the world of Oz.

“People probably underestimate how long it took us to find these women and get lost in them,” Grande said. “Lifting my head between sobs to say a big thank you to @theacademy for this unfathomable recognition,” she wrote. “I can't stop crying, to no one's surprise.”

She described the nomination as “humbled and deeply honoured” and praised her co-stars as “excellent actors”.

Grande also took time to applaud the “Wicked” crew, giving a heartfelt nod to director John M. Chu, who missed out on a best director nomination. “Thank you for being the most incredible leader, person and fiercest friend,” she wrote. “I am so very proud of my beautiful Wicked family.”

The singer singled out her co-star Cynthia Erivo, who received a nomination for best actress in a leading role. “I am so proud of my Elfie, my sister, my precious @cynthiaerivo. Your brilliance is endless and you deserve every flower (tulip) in every garden. I love you unconditionally, always,” Grande added.

She ended her emotional post with a playful nod to the musical, writing: 'lemons, melons and pears, oh my!'

Grande and Slater appear to have been celebrating the Oscar news together in London, where they were spotted earlier in the week lunching with Erivo at Universal. The couple met on the set of Wicked and began dating in 2023, although they have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight due to public criticism.

The “Winning” alum was previously married to Dalton Gomez for two years, while Slater was married to Lily Jay for nearly four years before they started dating. Despite early speculation, Grande has strongly denied any overlap between their relationship and their previous marriages.

Grande is up against Monica Barbaro (“Total Unknown”), Felicity Jones (“The Brutalist”), Isabella Rossellini (“The Conclave”) and Zoe Saldaña (“Emilia Perez”) in the category. Along with Grande's nomination, Wicked earned a total of 10 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Original Score, Costume Design and Visual Effects.
