Non-stop scrollers rejoice! After President-elect Donald Trump led the charge block TikTok in the United Statesthe platform credited him with saving him after a one-night ban.

You don't even have to wait until the inauguration for the stunts and shows to begin. The real fanfare is happening online as a sea of app-addicted users breathe a sigh of relief. After a few hours of crying, shaking and vomiting due to withdrawal, TMZ confirms the return of TikTok.

Despite previous plans to close the site himself due to its influence and close ties to the Chinese governmentTrump announced a decree to save TikTok almost as soon as he took the oath. In addition to blocking the ban, he proposed a 50% American ownership agreement compromise with legal requirements to sell to a domestic buyer.

It's unclear whether an executive order could actually end, or at least delay, the ban passed by Congress last year. Since it's already up and running in the US, we won't need to know right away.

Now the app welcomes US users back with an updated message.

“Good to see you again! Thank you for your patience and support. Thanks to the efforts of President Trump, TikTok is back in the United States! You can continue to create, share and discover everything you love on TikTok,” says the new landing page.

Now, how exactly did the next president reverse this decision before even taking office? These details will likely be revealed in the coming days. He worked so closely with the company that TikTok CEO Shou Chew to attend Trump rally on Sunday and inauguration on Monday.

TikTok recently released a statement thanking Trump for smoothing things over.

“In agreement with our service providers, TikTok is in the process of restoring the service. We thank President Trump for providing necessary clarity and assurance to our service providers that they will not face any penalties in providing TikTok to more than 170 million Americans and enabling more than 7 million small businesses to thrive,” the company announced.

“This is a strong stance in favor of the First Amendment and against arbitrary censorship. We will work with President Trump on a long-term solution that keeps TikTok in the United States,” the statement continued.
