Matthew Lawrence officially started Chili after his divorce from Cheryl Burke.
The actor and the TLC singer, whose real name is Rosonda Thomas, began dating romantically in November 2022, three months after her rep revealed. Us Weekly that they were “just friends” when they went to Hawaii together. By the New Year, the two were “in love”.
Lawrence's relationship with Chilli comes after that Burke announced her divorce from him in February 2022. Their divorce papers stated that their divorce date is January 7, 2022.
Burke, who cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, later claimed that Lawrence was “brutal” forcing them to stand trial for custody of their dog Ysabella.
When Lawrence and Chilli became Instagram Official on New Year's Eve 2022, Burke gave her followers an update on how she's coping after a tough year.
“I endured a year that did everything they could to try and break me, and there were many moments when I thought I would, but here I AM,” the dancer wrote on December 31. “2022 was the year filled with the most ups, downs and heartbreak (if I'm being honest) I've ever experienced but I wouldn't be who and where I am today without these life experiences… I really want to move forward , no longer It's defined by my past and SO ready to start the next chapter of my life, LET'S SHOW IT'S DONE!”
