Despite her injury, Denise moved away Special Forces with a new knowledge of herself. “I learned that I was stronger than I thought,” she told E!. “But I wish I was stronger.”
And at the end of the day, it was about putting yourself out there.
As she added, “I learned that when you decide to do something, even if you go as far as you can, at least try. I think that's also something important for my kids to see .”
