Joe Biden had a swan song for the president Donald Trump.
Days after the 47th president took office, Trump revealed to White House reporters that his predecessor Biden had left behind a “very nice letter.”
Trump found the token — a tradition in which presidents leave letters to their successors in the Oval Office's Resolute Desk — while signing executive orders in front of reporters, according to Fox Newsand then shared its content.
“As I take leave of this hallowed office, I wish you and your family all the best over the next four years.rs,” Biden wrote according to the outlet. “The American people – and people around the world – look to this house for stability in the face of the inevitable storms of history, and my prayer is that the years ahead will be a time of prosperity, peace and grace for our nation. »
Before signing, Biden added: “May God bless and guide you as he has blessed and guided our beloved country since our founding. »
