What Hoda Kotb has to say about her career plans after the Today Show

Hoda Kotb is ready to start a new chapter after saying goodbye to NBC Today.

The TV personality announced on September 26 that he is leaving the morning show after almost 30 years in the network. “I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 because I started thinking about this decade, like, what does this decade mean? What does it hold? What's in it for me?” she tearfully announced on air. “And I realized it was time for me to turn the page at 60 and try something new.”

At the time, Kotb also noted that her role as a mother influenced her decision. “My kids were late and I think they deserve more of my time, the pie that I have,” she explained. “I feel like we only have a limited amount of time.
