With the popular social media app soon to be banned in the US, many creators are focusing on other platforms or looking for new opportunities to keep their fan base entertained. Starting out on TikTok before the reality show hit Hulu, MomTok moms have shared a little about how they feel about the app potentially going dark.

Fans are once again wondering if MomTok will survive
“Will MomTok survive the end of time Tok?!” one fan asked the reality star May Neely in the comments of her recent video talking about the TikTok ban.
“So it looks like I'll be out of a job soon,” Neely began her video. “Just kidding. I'm not really worried about it. I'm really sad though that TikTok might be shutting down in a week, which makes me think this is the perfect time to post all my drafts.”
She then said that she's heard a lot of people say they won't switch to Instagram if the TikTok ban actually happens. She said she still uses Instagram as well as YouTube.

“If TikTok really goes away, like really, really, I'm going to be so sad,” she continued. “There are also some huge announcements and exciting things that I can't wait to share. I'm a little disappointed about that, because we all know that similar rolls are not the same.”
One viewer shared, “Following you on YouTube! I can't lose my MomTok content!” Another person said: “Well, I'll go on Insta to find you.”

Laila Taylor posts her 'TikTok personality' on Instagram
Another MomTok mom, Leila Taylora few days ago, TikTok shared a playful video to counter the potential ban.
“Now that TikTok is getting banned and I have to scare my IG followers with my TikTok personality,” the video caption reads. Many of her followers were able to get in touch and share their thoughts in the comments section.
“People on IG is not the same as TikTok,” wrote one person. Another added: “MOMTOK WILL NOT SURVIVE THIS.” And another viewer said: “Not ready for this switch.”

“Still can't believe it could be gone soon”
Star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Jessie Ngatikaura A few days ago, TikTok also shared thoughts and questions about the possible ban in a video.
“I'm going to need someone to tell me what we're doing when TikTok gets shut down. I've seen everyone say, 'No, we're not going to Instagram, we're going to boycott it.' We at RedNote. I have to understand because I'm the kind of influencer that's always posting on both Instagram and TikTok,” she said. “And I feel like I've seen a lot of hate directly on Instagram and no one wants to go there because it's over. “
She then said she needed someone to explain to her why people don't want to just go on Instagram and scroll.
“And even if we don't,” she continued. “Where the hell are we going?”

One viewer explained his reasons for not switching to IG: “Metta lobbied HARD to ban TikTok, so people are moving away from Metta. A lot of influencers I've seen go to YouTube/YouTube shorts because Instagram vibes just aren't that good.”

A fellow MomTok mom, Mikayla Matthews also shared a video talking about the TikTok ban.
“When the TikTok ban actually happens, but we literally made MomTok our whole personality and put on a show about being MomTok,” the caption above Matthews and Neely's video.

The MomTok team is currently filming Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which will be released on Hulu at some point in the spring. Season 1 is streaming on Hulu and will debut on ABC on January 27 as part of ABC's winter programming lineup.
